Our Kyokushin Karate Grading 27/5/2001.

I was going for 1st Dan Black Belt.
Kyoko was going for 1st Kyu (Brown Belt with Black Bar).
Neither of us had done a karate grading for one year, although
I had just done my Kickboxing Black Singlet Grading 1 month earlier.

Me breaking 3 boards with a chop.

Me breaking 3 boards with a heel stomp kick.

Me breaking a board with a roundhouse kick. It is meant to be at head level!

Me breaking 3 boards with a punch. I couldn't believe it when I
did it first go. I saved this break until last and that is why I went
so well I guess! Last time I attempted this I broke the brick instead!

Kyoko & I sparring. We had both done about 20 fights by now,
and this was after 6 hours...
